Catalina Pacific Recognized by ACI with Concrete Awards

Azuza, CA---Due to the collaborative efforts of the sales and operations teams, Catalina Pacific, a CalPortland Company has been recognized by the Southern California Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) for projects completed in 2009.
Catalina Pacific received recognition in all four of the 2009 ACI Concrete Awards. The Charles Pankow, Jr Award “recognizes outstanding and innovative use of concrete in construction.” That award went to Pankow Builders for the Montage project in Beverly Hills; Recognition of Outstanding Achievement and Excellence was awarded to Hensel Phelps for the UC Irvine Engineering Hall; Recognition of Outstanding Performance in Design and Engineering was awarded to Morley Builders for the California Science Center; and the Recognition of Excellence in Environmental Usage of Concrete was awarded to Beeson Pervious Concrete at the Los Angeles World Airports. (The pervious pour of 73,000 square feet is the largest pervious concrete project in California. Catalina Pacific poured approximately 1400 cubic yards at this LAX site).
