CalPortland Company CEO/President Jim Repman to Retire

Chief Execitive Officer/President James Repman, 63 announced that he would retire on December 31, 2009. Repman is a 30-year veteran of the cement and materials industry.

For the past 20 years, Repman has lead CalPortland through numerous mergers, acquisitions, expansions and a nationally recognized energy conservation program that resulted in CalPortland being one of only three companies to receive the prestigious US EPA Energy Star Award for five consecutive years.
Succeeding Repman is Allen Hamblen, 52 current Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Hamblen comes with more than 20 years at CalPortland and affiliated companies.

“It has been a great 30 years working with dedicated and knowledgeable professionals. I am proud of what we have achieved as a team,” Mr. Repman said. “Allen has been instrumental in helping restructure and grow the company. I am confident that under his leadership, CalPortland is well positioned for continued success as the economy recovers.”
