Cement Products
All types of cement provided by CalPortland conform with ASTM Specification C150.
Portland Cement Type I
Type I – A general purpose cement, which is widely used when special requirements are not necessary. Some cements meet both the Type I and Type II specifications.
Portland Cement Type II
Type II is also a general purpose cement. Type II cements contain no more than 8% tricalcium aluminate (C3A) for moderate sulfate resistance. This type is also required when moderate heat of hydration is desired.
Portland Cement Type III
A high early strength Portland cement and causes concrete to set and gain strength rapidly. Type III is chemically and physically similar to Type I, except that it has finer particle sizes.
Type V
Contains no more than 5% C3A for high sulfate resistance.
Portland Cement Class G
Oil well cements are designed for use in extremely hot environments with high pressures. Their predictable retarder response makes them suitable for the oil well industry.
Masonry Cements Types S and M
For the production of masonry mortar for use in block, stone, and brick masonry construction.
